Its Sac River Shad Time! But, in Redding it is all about the rainbows…

As the Cottonwood seeds fly in the breeze, the Shad continue to rise in the Sac River. Shad are a very fun fish to catch with their muscly bone-filled structure straining on the line all the way to the boat, kayak or to shore. Shad have reached Red Bluff and can be caught between Anderson and the Delta.
